Re: How To: Budabot on Linux

I don't have a server to test this on, but it should be mostly the same. The package names for PHP might be different, but otherwise it should work as prescribed. If you do decide to do this, it might be helpful to record the steps for other people who may want to.

Budabot Open Source Stats

https://www.openhub.net/p/budabot2 contains some statistics about the development of Budabot. You may or may not find them interesting, but I definitely found value in them. :)

Re: database extraction

Xyphos made his XRDB util available to anyone that wants it. You may want to read through it to see how it is handling things. Also, there is http://aodevs.com/forums/ which has some topics on it. Additionally, I have open-sourced the code for the Budabot Items Extractor. The code related to reading...

Re: GMI Module.

The GMI is just a webpage/webserver. It requires a certain header/cookie when you make the request so it knows which char is making the request. That cookie value is provided by the client. So you must get that value from the client. And as long as the client stays logged in, that value can be used....

I think there is a setting in the RELAY_MODULE that controls this. Look in !config RELAY_MODULE

Re: Nano module database update

I have committed the changes with the updates nanos database. The !nanolines command still works, but the new nanos haven't been added to any nanolines. To see which nanos don't belong to a nanoline you can run this command: !querysql select * from nanos where lowid not in (select lowid from nanos_n...

Re: Nano module database update

It is pretty integrated as it directly references the data in the 'nano' table. But it should still work for the old nanos so maybe I will just leave it.

Re: Nano module database update

Great, will do. One more question, do you have the data for the nanolines? If not, perhaps I should remove the !nanolines command.

Re: Nano module database update

This is awesome. Thank you for doing this. Do you mind if I include this in the official Budabot release? And if so, is "Saavick" the name you prefer for credit?

Re: outside use

It's been a while since I've even looked at Budabot and I don't know it like I used to. However, I believe the answer to your question is that you have to set the access level for each command. Commands with access level "All" can be used by anyone. So you'd want to set all your commands t...
