GMI Module.

Postby Team_Eli » Tue Aug 04, 2015 4:06 am

The GMI Module website has now moved to: aogmi.com
from: http://aogmi.azurewebsites.net/

It has a nice clean webpage that can also be used interactively.
It still works the old way, don't know if you will change it or not.

Regards,

Eli...

btw: *yoink* Works lovely in Aquest. Thanks! :)

OK, I updated that. Thanks.

Looks like the site is no longer available. Too bad. It was a very handy tool.

Is there anyone who could create an alternative?

If someone can give me a quick run-down of what it entails, i'd be happy to take a stab at it. I need a new project to keep me busy. I didn't have any interaction with the previous site so feel free to be as detailed as you like

The GMI is just a webpage/webserver. It requires a certain header/cookie when you make the request so it knows which char is making the request. That cookie value is provided by the client. So you must get that value from the client. And as long as the client stays logged in, that value can be used. Once you have that figured out, it's just a matter of processing the results from the webpage. I don't know how to get the cookie value from the client, but I know it has been documented by someone else. I can't find it now, but maybe with a little bit of googling you could. Also note that the reason aogmi.com was shutdown was because it wasn't FC-sanctioned. See: https://forums.anarchy-online.com/showt ... kup-online

yep, just read through that thread. Likely a good idea to not approach this module again, as it seems the actual access to the market data was rather "hacky"
