Can you post the error message? Or take a screen shot of the error and post it somewhere that I can see it? Also, which OS are you using? Windows?

Did previous versions of Budabot work for you on the computer you are running it on?

Can you try installing this and see if it fixes your problem: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=30679

And what version of Windows are you using?

Hi there !

I'm on W7x64 and was experiencing the same issue with latest 3.5 (when the 2.2 and the 3.0 were working perfectly). Please note i had usual MSVC+ Redists installed (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015) for x64.

When i tried to launch chatbot.bat it crashed asking for msvcr110.dll wich is in my windows "System32" folder (itself declared correctly in the PATH variable).
Then, once i copied this dll file directly into bot's "win32" folder, beside php.exe file to force it to find it, i had a new common crash known as 0xc000007b !

PS : i've been trying many fixes around the web before finding the correct one => install ALL the x86 AND x64 MSVC+ Redists i was missing ! I now have the full "pokemon" collection (those mentionned upper plus 2017, all in double except the 2005). Useful VC9 to 15 links are listed at pt 20 in this page http://forum.wampserver.com/read.php?1,88043

Kinda sucks but now the bot starts.

Perhaps it's because I updated PHP versions between 3.0 and 3.5. I was thinking about upgrading PHP versions again from 5.6 to 7, but if it causes all this trouble, maybe I won't. Maybe it's possible that I could include the relevant MSVC+ DLLs with Budabot, but I kinda doubt their license will allow that. Also, it's not really clear what DLLs are being used. Most of the time it just works on my machine, presumably because the DLLs are already there.

I don't think I ever publicized this because it was mostly for my benefit, but in the win32 folder there is a file called version.txt that indicates exactly which PHP binary I am using for Windows.

In theory it should be possible to use this page (http://windows.php.net/download#php-5.6) to decide what is required. For instance, according to the version.txt file in the latest version of Budabot in Github (https://github.com/Budabot/Budabot/blob ... ersion.txt), the PHP version is php-5.6.18-nts-Win32-VC11-x86. And then using that webpage, we can see it's VC11 so we need "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012" installed. Also, the version indicates x86 so we need the 32bit version.

So presumably for Budabot 3.5 and probably 3.4 as well, you need to download this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=30679 and install the 32bit version, which is the one I linked to in the previous post.
