Budabot 2.3 RC2 is now available.

Although we try not to add enhancements once we've started testing for a new GA release, a few have snuck in:
-added !penalty for showing orgs who have attacked recently and are in penalty (thanks Taylorka (RK2) for requesting)
-!ban now takes the time argument as "Buda-time" (eg. 1d4h6m32s)
-added option notify_banned_player to control whether the bot sends a tell to a player when they are banned or unbanned from the bot
-some core commands are now configurable
-!neutnet on now accepts neutnet spams from the new Neutnet satellite bots (Neutnet15, Neutnet16)
-on logon, bot now notifies players if they have unvalidated alts
-added !aliaslist to show current aliases that are active on the bot
-added !logoff to set a logoff message (similar to setting a logon message with !logon) (thanks Rageballs (RK1) for implementing this)
-timed/cron events can now take an arbitrary time value (in Buda-time) (thanks Argufix (RK2) for requesting)
-!vent now shows number of players in channel in the link
-moved !orghistory into GUILD_MODULE (ORG_HISTORY_MODULE no longer exists) and actees are now highlighted
-added help files for various core commands
-!add 0 no longer removes a person from a roll (use !rem instead)

Bug fixes:
-notifies in private channel when someone removes themselves from a roll, to match when they add themselves to a roll
-fixed some issues when runninng Budabot on 64 bit linux (thanks Wirehead for reporting this)
-fix for names overflowing db field in !broadcast list
-fix for afk status not showing in !online output
-fix for !pb crashing the bot (thanks Kinaton (RK1) for reporting)
-!settings change will now show the current value for colors
-fix for !afk showing an error (thanks Windguaerd (RK1) for reporting)
-fix for paging on !attacks and !victory
-!addalias and !remalias will now report on syntax errors
-reduced spam when successfully adding alts (thanks Toxicmen (RK2) for requesting)
-fix for !alts main when adding an an alt of a character who was already an alt of another character (thanks Toxicmen (RK2) for reporting)

As always, please report any issues that you find. We're getting close to the 2.3 GA release.

Btw, we had 69 downloads for 2.3 RC1, which is phenomenal considering it was only up for 10 days. That is substantially more downloads than we've ever had for an RC release. Thanks!

For users upgrading from 2.3 RC1, you can copy /data/budabot.db and /config.php. For users upgrading from 2.2 GA, only copy /data/budabot.db. Do not copy your config.php file as the format for that file has changed. You will need to go through the setup again. It will automatically start the setup when you start your bot and should only take 30s to answer the few questions it asks.

The bot will retain your guestlist, alts, logon messages, etc as long as you copy /data/budabot.db to the new bot.

It's because by default the !alts command is restricted to 'guild' and above so that random people can't find out your alts.

You can do !config cmd alts to change the access level for it.

But do you think the default access level should be lowered to 'member' (which would allow anyone on the guest list to use it)?

Ok, I have changed the default access level for !alts from 'guild' to 'member' (member = guest).

Also noticed that you can't actually set the access level for a command to 'member' through the config, so I fixed that also (you could set it in the code, however).

Thanks Rageballs for the !logoff command I suggested, god damn I love it!

The command !fastattack crashes Budabot. Worked with 2.2 build 1348.
